CLLD Startegy, FLAG „High Western Rhodopes: Batak - Devin - Dospat"-

The FLAG Strategy supports the implementation of the EU 2014-2020 headline targets and priorities for viability, competitiveness and environmental sustainability in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors and promoting social cohesion and employment in fisheries dependent communities. The CLLD Strategy focuses on interventions to overcome problems related to the need for modernization of aquaculture farms on the territory and processing plants for the competitive participation of the fisheries and aquaculture sector in the sustainable development of the fisheries area. It promotes new approaches to growth and jobs, in particular by adding value to aquaculture products. The strategy is aimed at maintaining employment in the fishing area and creating new jobs by diversifying activities to overcome the socio-economic difficulties of the area. Improving the attractiveness of the fishing area as a place to live, by investing in improving the living environment, cultural activities, promoting cultural heritage, preserving the environment, is also one of the priorities of the Strategy. The FLAG Strategy, through innovative approaches, seeks to meet the specific needs of the area. Implementation of the Strategy will be through a set of measures and actions to ensure the achievement of the set goals. The development of local capacity for resource management within the FLAG is an activity that will apply to all sectors and will ensure the achievement of the expected results related to the modernization of the sector, increase employment, improve the appearance of the settlements and reduce the pressure on the environment environment. The strategy will use all eligible financial resources from the MDRF, mobilizing a significant amount of financial resources for the private business.
