Community-led local development strategy of FLAG Pomorie

The current project proposal seeks to achieve the competitive participation of the fisheries and aquaculture sectors in the sustainable development of fisheries areas and to promote innovative approaches to deliver growth and jobs, in particular by adding value to fisheries and aquaculture products. FLAG Pomorie was newly established as a result of the implementation of Administrative Contract No. MD8 -4P-01.18 / 06.07.2017 for granting under Measure 4.1 "Preparatory Support for the Strategies for CLLD". The local initiative group will provide for the period of implementation of the CLLD strategy: an independent office, full-time employees; office equipment to carry out the activity. The FLAG Pomorie will implement a single-funded strategy, funded solely by the EMFF. The single-funded strategy is an innovation for Pomorie Municipality that will enable funding and integrated use of economic, infrastructure and social measures through the EMFF through the MFP. The planned activities under the Strategy measures are interlinked and the innovative approach is that the realization of one activity will have a positive effect on other activities or will upgrade already implemented activity. The implementation of better and new fishing techniques and appliances and equipment will be implemented through the measures of the Strategy for CLLD, focusing on diversification and new forms of income for fishermen as complementary fishing activities, support for rehabilitation of ports, piers; construction and renovation of indoor of fishing shelters and landscaping of adjoining terrain. The Energy Efficiency Measures under the CLLD strategy will be implemented in the ports of fishermen, aquaculture and fish processing enterprises. It supports the start-up of independent aquaculture business by unemployed and employed, as well as training on key competences and professional skills.
