Providing an accessible environment and creating an area for sport, recreation and leisure for the fishing community and residents of Balchik

The project of the Balchik Municipality is related to the construction of the area for sport, recreation and leisure in a designated for this purpose terrain (in sq. 1157, UPI I according to the plan of Balchik), located to the south of the residential complex “Balik” with an area of 28 acres. The construction of facilities to them is a prerequisite for the development of mass sport and training activities related to physical and mental training, and the resilience of young people, in particular young fishermen – that they would need to meet the challenges of the sea. The following sports fields are envisaged: a football field and a tennis court. The investment of this project proposal is part of a large-scale project for the overall layout of a park and sport area in “Balik” quarter. The second phase of the project will include the construction of a sports center, a skateboard track and volleyball and basketball courts. The infrastructure will also be accessible to disadvantaged people. The investment proposal of Balchik Municipality (in PI 02508.77.133 and PI 02508.77.134) is related to the implemented project "Improvement of tourist attractions and related infrastructure on the territory of Balchik Municipality" under OP "Regional Development" 2007-2013, which established a park for displaying the Late antiquity and medieval fortress “Dionysopolis” in “Horizont” quarter, Balchik, comprising land properties No. 02508.80.237 (property of the Ministry of Culture), and No. 02508.80.236 (property of the Balchik Municipality).
