Development of tourist attractions in the municipality of Batak by restoration of a fish farm in the village of Fotinovo.

The village of Fotinovo is located 20 km from the administrative center of the town of Batak and 30 km from the resort Tsigov Chark, which annually attract tens of thousands of tourists from the country and abroad. Most of the visitors come with the main motive of fishing and separately in the village are located the Fotin Falls, which are visited by all tourists of the town of Batak and the resort of Tsigov Chark.The project is aimed at creating a new tourist attraction for the territory, using the local resource or in this case, restoring the fish farm in the village of Fotinovo, owned by the applicant. The applicant's idea is to use an existing site and natural resource related to fishing and fishing, and each tourist will be able to become familiar with aquaculture farming techniques and practice freshwater aquaculture, in this case trout. Its use will be free of charge for the visitors, and the fish that will be farmed in them will be used for demonstration activities, after which it will fish the rivers in the territory of the municipality of Batak, which is also the main goal of the candidate association. All costs for fish farming will be borne by the applicant. The project envisages restoration of the pond, with part of the cages being used for demonstration activities and trout catching techniques and the rest for farming. The project will have a specific focus on children from the FLAG territory who will also have the opportunity to learn about the methods of farming, catching and benefits of fish. The implementation of the project will improve the conditions and skills of young fish and fish, and this will indirectly increase the consumption of fish and fishery products. It is also envisaged to publish a brief information material with information on the types of trout and the benefits of fish consumption, which will be disseminated to students throughout the FLAG.
