"Development, preservation and promotion of the identity of the intangible cultural heritage in Kraimorie district, Burgas municipality"

The project aims to increase the tourism attractiveness of Kraimorie district, Burgas, through development, preservation and promotion of the intangible cultural heritage identity of the area. An accent in the project activities is put on the local uniqueness and creation of specific experiences based on the preserved in the territory local life, traditions and amateur arts. Project activities include: elaboration of a research on the traditions, customs and crafts in Kraimorie district; elaboration of sustainable activities for their promotion; delivery of a prefabricated mobile stage, spectator seating and professional sound system, aiming enriching and diversifying the activities of the community center for holding regional and national events (festivals, fairs, concerts, reunions, etc.); project promotion activities. The implementation of the project will contribute to the preservation of local history, culture and fishing life, the enrichment of knowledge and creating sustainable benefits for the population of Kraimorie and Burgas in general. Apart from protecting and promoting the intangible cultural heritage in Kraimorie, which is of national and local importance, the project aims to revive the interest to the area as an attractive destination in the field of cultural tourism, support of the target group representatives, in particular the local fishermen community, creating conditions for economic growth and last, but not least - capacity deployment of community center Petar Yanev 1939 as a public cultural organization.
