INITIATIVE FOR THE PROMOTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF FISHING TERRITORIES - RAVDA

The project is aimed at creating a favourable environment for expanding the popularity of the fishing territory - the village of Ravda. The project activities include involving students, representatives of the local fishing community, fishermen and citizens in activities to study the history, traditions and customs associated with fishing in Ravda. A “Fishermen Meeting” event will be held, at which the representatives of the local fishing community will be acquainted with the Mechanisms for increasing the attractiveness of fishing livelihood. A local attraction will be created under the project-Fishing Museum “The Sea of Ravda” and the “Ravda–the sea, fish and Fishermen” Festival will be held, which is innovative and will help attract new visitors and tourists to the fishing territory of Ravda, as well as lovers of the fishing livelihood. The Fishing Museum will display the natural wealth of the Black Sea coast of Ravda, the history and present of the fishing livelihood, photos, showing the Black Sea inhabitants, characteristic of the Ravda region, fishing supplies of the past. The Festival Program envisages opening of the Fishing Museum; Demonstration of local fishing customs; Demo fishing in a boat featuring children and local fishermen; Culinary feast; Children's creative workshop. A Marketing Strategy will be developed and implemented to promote and develop the innovative attractions and events created under the project in the Ravda Fishing territories. A promotional film for the attractions and events of the project will be made and distributed to a wide audience. A culinary book “The most delicious fish dishes from Ravda” will be printed and distributed for the connoisseurs of the traditional Black Sea cuisine from the village of Ravda - locals, visitors, and tourists. The project activities correspond to the sea, history, and traditions of the Ravda fishing territory and will have a sustainable effect in making Ravda an attractive tourist destination.
