Restoration of the population of European river crayfish (Astacus astacus) in the reservoirs of Dragushinovo village, Samokov municipality

The project proposal is aimed at restoring the population of European crayfish (Astacus astacus) in the reservoirs of Dragushinovo village, Samokov municipality by preparing a strategy by a BAS specialist on ways to restore the population of European crayfish (Astacus astacus) in the reservoirs of Dragushinovo, Samokov municipality and organizing and conducting a seminar in the town of Samokov on the impact of human activity on the population of European crayfish (Astacus astacus); cleaning of heavily polluted areas with household and industrial waste on the left bank of the Iskar River in the land of the village of Dragushinovo with a view to resuming the inflow of clean river water; cleaning of the area of ​​a natural reservoir - a riverside lake and construction of a zone for recreation and observation of the river flora and fauna; placing a sculptural composition in the center of the village of Dragushinovo, representing a fountain with bas-reliefs of crayfish and a sculpture of a nest with storks.
