With this project proposal Pomorie Municipality plans to organize and hold a three-day festival with two concert evenings "Fish Fest-Pomorie" with two editions - in 2022 and 2023, including theater sketches, concerts, presentations of fish dishes and presentation through multimedia of part of the life and craft of fishermen. The events aim to promote fishing and seafaring as part of the way of life and identity of the population of Pomorie municipality and at the same time to present to the guests and young people from the territory in an interesting and fun way the local fishing and culinary skills. Through the implementation of the planned activities, the organizer aims to create an opportunity to promote the social integration of the "Fisheries" sector in other socio-economic sectors and strengthen the role of fishermen in the local community. The planned activities include the participation of different age groups in various activities related to fisheries and maritime affairs, in order to get acquainted with the profession "Fisherman" and the sea. An opportunity will be created to present the cultural and historical heritage and way of life of the fisherman, through exhibitions and expositions. Involving young people in the activities of fishermen by organizing and conducting outdoor games, which present in an interesting and attractive way the maritime professions and activities. An opportunity will be created for marketing of local fish and aquaculture products, as well as other local products, which will further stimulate economic activities in the Municipality of Pomorie. The working name of the festival will be "Fish Fest" - Pomorie. In order to implement the project of the Municipality of Pomorie, a grant is required due to the lack of budget funds for this type of community events, through which to meet the objectives of this project proposal.
