Modernization of existing plant for sterilized canned fish in the town of Shumen

This project proposal is aimed at modernization of the existing processing plant for sterilized canned fish in the Republic of Bulgaria. The realization of the investment will expand the range of processed fishery and aquaculture products, improving the working conditions in the enterprise and reduction of the harmful impact on the environment through the implementation of energy savings. The planned investment corresponds and contributes fully to the achievement of specific objectives under the priority of the Union provided for in Regulation (EU) No. 508/2014. The project proposal addresses the principles of horizontal policies of the EU, and will help for achieving: - Sustainable development - preservation of the environment, increasing of resource efficiency, and mitigating the effects of climate change; - Equality and non-discrimination - promoting equal opportunities between men and women as well as between representatives of different minority groups; The applicant fully complies with the eligible target group for this procedure because it is the owner of the existing plant for processing of fishery and aquaculture products. The activities planned under the project proposal fully correspond with the ones eligible for the procedure and include the following eligible costs, according to the Conditions for application: - Expenses for purchase, installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment, facilities and other; - Costs for introducing systems for safety at work and environment and water protection and achieving compliance with internationally recognized standards - BS OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001; - Cost of project preparation; The expected results are: - New machinery and equipment, facilities, etc. purchased, installed, and put into operation; - Achieving compliance with internationally recognized standards - BS OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001;
