Construction and equipping of a workshop for air freeze of small fish in company „MORSKI ROBOLOV - NESEBAR“ Ltd.

This project will be implemented by MORSKI RIBOLOV – NESSEBAR OOD.The company mainly operates in the processing of fishing products. The company offers a wide range of fish products in the following main groups: * Frozen fish – different kinds of fish, clams, shrimp, and octopus; * Marinated fish; * Other fish products. The frozen fish segment represents over 90 % of the company production. At the moment, MORSKI RIBOLOV – NESSEBAR OOD uses an old technology of freezing (through strongly cooled brine) and does not have sufficient capacity to accommodate peak volumes in the busy fishing season. These weaknesses lead to frequent interruptions in fishing while awaiting the freeing of facilities for processing, and the accumulating of significant losses due to lost profits.These weaknesses will be eliminated after project implementation. The freezing technology will be entirely transformed – from freezing with strongly cooled brine to entirely air blast freezing. The capacity will be greatly increased. Environmental protection and safety at work will be greatly improved.The planned investment includes: 1. Carrying out works related to addition and extension (construction of a second floor) of the existing production building; 2. Purchase of technological equipment for air-blast freezing of small fish; 3. Elaboration, integration and certification of an environmental management system in accordance with the international standard ISO 14001:2015; 4. Elaboration, implementation and certification of a system for management of health and safety at work, according to the international standard BS OHSAS 18001:2007; In accordance with the rules of the program, the following activities will be provided: carrying out procedures for selection of contractors; performance of construction and installation works; supply and installation of equipment; integration and certification of management systems. Planned project duration is 18 months, total project budget is 2 223 113.88 BGN.
