Expansion and modernization of an existing fish-processing factory

The project proposal of the applicant for this procedure - "Michik" Ltd. is aimed at expansion and modernization of the existing fish processing enterprise of the company located in the village of Slanchevo, Varna district. The realization of the planned investment will lead to a reduction of the harmful impact on the environment by introducing in the production process resource-efficient technologies, improvement of the working conditions and safety in the enterprise and the realization of energy savings. The project responds to the principles of horizontal EU policies as it contributes to the achievement of: - Equality and non-discrimination and - Sustainable Development The activities covered by the project proposal are fully in line with the admissible procedure: - Execution of the construction and assembly works for the extension of the existing enterprise; - Purchase, installation and commissioning of refrigeration equipment and packing machines; - Training workers and employees about the specific health risks associated with the particular workplace and the methods and means of limiting and preventing them; - Perform an energy audit The company will implement systems for safe working conditions and protection of the environment and water and will comply with internationally recognized standards ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001. The expected results are: - Completed construction works according to the approved investment project; - Refrigeration equipment and packing machines purchased and put into operation; - Trained employees about the specific health risks associated with the particular workplace and the methods and means of limiting and preventing them; - Achieved compliance with internationally recognized ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001 standards;
