NEW MARKETING STRATEGIES FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE FISH MARKETS IN BULGARIA (NEWMAR)

The main species of fish, which catch on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, are: turbot, walleye, bamboo, butterflies, rapeseed, horse mackerel, sprat, black sea mussel and Black Sea bass. According to the Multiannual National Strategic Plan for Aquaculture in the Republic of Bulgaria (2014-2020), since the aquaculture products market is not yet well structured and transparent, an integrated approach should be applied when implementing measures related to marketing. The aim of the project is to carry out activities related to enhancing the export potential of the products :. It will be launched by conducting a market research which will thoroughly analyze the status and potential of the sector. A review of good practices in EU and non- EU countries will be organized in parallel. To launch the actual promotional campaign, culinary recipes and routes will be identified and described, as well as specialized promotional materials such as flyers, brochures and maps. Thereafter, active promotion is forthcoming, with the aim of distributing advertising materials, participating in two selected promotional events, as well as making five online publications. The end of the campaign will end with a one-day promo event organized on the territory of Sozopol Municipality. It will be attended by visiting delegations, who will also participate in the organized scientific discussion, part of the event.
