Implementation of Integrated Bulgarian Maritime Surveillance (InBulMarS) based on the Common Information Sharing Environment - CISE for EU's maritime territory surveillance of - with acronym InBulMarS 2

The implementation of this project proposal will increase maritime awareness for a more safe, secure and clean maritime environment, which is the basis for improving the quality of life and sustainable development along Europe's coastal areas. The project is in accordance with the objectives of the EMFF's "Encouraging the implementation of the IMP" priority and in line with the large-scale European maritime situational awareness initiative by defining and implementing the Maritime CISE. Improvements to maritime surveillance - due to CISE – will allow the establishment of infrastructure and the development of a graphic user interface to assist relevant authorities implementing integrated maritime policy to take adequate measures and to effectively monitor and control situations occurring in the Black Sea while ensuring a level of security, the guarantee of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data shared between them. The project is based on the results from a previously implemented project of EAMA - Integrated Bulgarian Maritime Surveillance - (EASME / EMFF / 2015 / 1.2.1.5), as well as participation in the project “European test bed for the Maritime Common Information Sharing Environment in the 2020 perspective” (EUCISE 2020), FP 7-SEC-2013. The implementation of this project proposal is expected to achieve the following results for the country and the EU: ensuring information connection of all public authorities in the Republic of Bulgaria in charge of maritime surveillance, as well as EU member states, representing the seven user communities as defined in CISE: (Defence, Customs, Border control, Fisheries control, Safety, security and pollution prevention from shipping, Environmental protection and General law enforcement);improvement of cross-sectoral information exchange and interoperability between them;providing an opportunity for seamless and secure exchange of maritime surveillance information-building an independent network at the national level.
