Modernization of Sofia – Dragoman – Serbian border Railway line: section Voluyak – Dragoman phase 1

This project proposal is a realization of the project "Modernization of the railway line Sofia-Dragoman-Serbian border: railway section Volujak-Dragoman" (phase 1). The project includes partially doubling and modernization of the railway infrastructure elements of the 33,34 km Voluyak-Dragoman railway section, according to the requirements of the TSI and Regulation 1315/2013 for speeds of 160 km / h for passenger trains and 120 km / h for freight trains. The scope of Phase 1 is described in detail in Annex 1, item B.3.1. The current project proposal for modernization of the Voluyak-Dragoman railway section (phase 1) includes the following main activities: Activity 1: Design - Design of DSPs and preparation of a detailed design for the elements of the railway infrastructure Activity 2: Land acquisition Activity 3: Construction: 1. Construction and installation activities and supplies of materials and equipment for the railway section from Voluyak-Dragoman (SP Aldomirovtsi West): - modernization of the elements of the existing infrastructure and reconstruction of all intersections of the railway infrastructure with facilities of other infrastructures, etc. - upgrade of SCADA; - construction of new elements of the railway infrastructure along the railway section - railway (doubling); new station Slivnitsa; new SP Aldomirovtsi West and SP Aldomirovtsi East; facilities, etc. for the whole railway section. 2. Commissioning Activity 4: Technical assistance - 1. Project management and 2. Field research and archaeological observation Activity 5: Publicity Activity 6: Supervision during construction - 1.Conformity assessment under the SPA, 2.Conformity assessment with TSIs and 3.Author's supervision The starting date of the project is 20.05.2019 (start of preparation of tender documentation for public procurement for construction). The deadline is 31.12.2023. The total implementation period is 55 months.
