"Territorial extension of the scope and upgrading of the Vessel Traffic Management information System (VTMIS) – Phase 4"

With the implementation of the project will be extended the coverage area of ​​the system in the sea spaces to the north and south by building two new sites and upgrading the transmission telecommunication infrastructure. The beginning of the project is the signing of contract № DEP-23 of 27.02.2017. Execution is scheduled to be 30 months through 7 interrelated activities: 1. An analysis of the existing state of the IPPC and systematic and physical design; 2. Implementation: Building installation works in connection with building of information communication infrastructure; Supply of equipment, installation and integration, including implementation of specialized software; Settings and commissioning; 3. tests for acceptance of the system in real operation; 4. Staff training and finalization and reporting; 5.Monitoring, information and communication measures; 7.Management of the project. Delivery of IT system and communication equipment, hardware software for the information infrastructure: Radar, RLD, AIS and VHF equipment; Meteo stations; Thermo / video cameras. This project builds on projects realized between 2000 and 2015 (pilot project, first, second and third phase). In its implementation it is envisaged the supply and installation of equipment by infrastructure objects, built up from the first three phases of VTMIS. The necessity of technological improvement and expansion of VTMIS is determined by the rapid development of the technologies and the insufficient coverage of the sea areas of the Republic of Bulgaria.
