DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF INTEGRATED INFORMATION SYSTEM (IIS) FOR PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT OF RESOURCES IN BULGARIAN PORTS INFRASTRUCTURE COMPANY

The project envisages design, construction, delivery and implementation of an Integrated Information System (IIS) in BPI Co. The objective and practical application of the introduction of IIS in BPI Co. as beneficiary of OPTTI is strengthening and improving the efficiency of the administrative capacity in all departments of the enterprise through better information insurance at all levels, and reduce the use of paper documents. As of present moment in the BPI Co. operate several independent of each other information systems. IIS provides a wide range of features and combines all specialized systems used to date by replacing them with a single software system logically divided into modules and working with a database so that the various departments of the BPI Co. can more easily exchange, share and change information when the relevant rights of authorization. Thus eliminated the mistakes of the transmission of information and its re-introduction. The introduction of IIS will base needed to improve the overall administrative capacity of the beneficiary and will support the preparation,the successful implementation and management of the BPI Co. projects in OPTTI. IIS will be a tool which will identify the needs of BPI Co. of specific investments in certain areas of the enterprise. The system will provide an opportunity to interface with: GIS of BPI Co.,external system for processing invoices,record-keeping system of BPI Co.,banking software,ISUN2020 and platform for public procurement management. Project activities: 1.Preparation of analysis and technical specification; 2.Services of design, implementation and support of IIS; 3.Delivery and installation of hardware infrastructure; 4.Licensing of application software and databases; 5.Information and Publicity; 6.Control and supporting the BPI Co. in the implementation of IIS and 7.Management of the project. Implementation period of the project, included maintenance of the system is 37 months (2016 to 2019).
