The route “Vidin-Dimovo-Bela-Ruzhintsi-Montana”, subject of the project, is part of the TEN-T “Orient/ East Mediterranean” corridor inrelation to the Regulation /EC/ 1315/2013. Beginning of the route is the end of the “Danube River Bridge 2” infrastructure and end – the beginning of “Montana bypass” (from side Vidin). The project includes modernization of the existing road, construction of settlement bypasses, crossings of two levels, switching on and separation through road junctions. Currently E-79 road has an inconstant gauge, sections in different operating condition and route - passing through settlements. Listed facts lead to inconstant low speed, traffic jams, traffic accidents, negative environmental impacts, which does not satisfy the requirements for a road from the main Trans-European Transport Network according to Regulation (EU) № 1315/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council since 11 December 2013 on Union guidelines for the development of trans-European transport network and repealing Decision № 661/2010 / EU (1). The subject of this project proposal is the preparation for construction of four sections: Vidin-Dimovo, Dimovo-Bela-Ruzhintsi and Ruzhintsi-Montana with a total length of 95 km. Technical parameters of the road: design speed of 120 km / h; road gauge G-28 and the capacity of the pavement 11.5 tons / axle. The project implementation includes: preliminary and technical designs, preparation of an EIA report and a report on the degree of the impact, archaeological surveys, preparation of a comprehensive report on conformity assessment and technical control for part "Construction", plans for environmental management and own environmental monitoring and road safety auditing at a preliminary and technical design stage, preparation of a management plan for construction waste, implementation of measures for information and publicity and project management. The implementation period of the project is from 01.01.2014 to 31.12.2021.
