Improving the monitoring of drinking water quality

The project aims to bring the scope and frequency of monitoring the quality of drinking water conducted by the authorities of State Health Control in full compliance with European and national legislation. The project will be provided equipment for laboratories in the system of the State Health Control for conducting monitoring of the quality of drinking water in response to the recommendations for Bulgaria from a Summary report of the European Commission by 16 June 2014 for the quality of drinking water in the European Union dealing reports from Member States for 2008-2010, granted under Directive 98/83 / EC of 3 November 1998 on the quality of water intended for human consumption (EC report (COM (2014) 363 final). The project will improve the capacity of laboratories in the system of the state health control by extending and enhancing the technical capacity to analyze in full the mandatory in European and national legislation indicators related to ensuring the quality and safety of drinking water. The expected outcome of the project is improved capacity of the laboratories of the bodies of State Health Control for monitoring the quality of drinking water in full compliance in full with the requirements of EU and national legislation. The project will contribute to the implementation of the Specific Objective 2: "Improving the assessment of water status." The project duration is 24 months and the budget - 10 million BGN.
