"Integrated water project of agglomeration of Smolyan"

The Integrated Water Project of Smolyan agglomeration project has been developed on the basis of a pre-investment survey with a view to overcoming the problems related to the existing drinking water and waste water infrastructure on the territory of Smolyan and ensuring ecological treatment and discharge of domestic waste water. The main activities envisaged within the project are: - Reconstruction of a water supply network with expired service life; - Reconstruction of sewerage network with expired service life; - Reconstruction of the main collector's sewerless mines; - Construction of a new water supply network and zoning of the network; - Building a new sewerage network; - Reconstruction of "Hubcha" and Prevalla PWTP; - Construction of tertiary treatment for phosphorus removal of WWTP.   As a result of the implementation of the project, the collected and treated pollution load will be increased before the discharge of the waste water into the water bodies, the water losses in the water transmission network will be reduced and the water supply of the Smolyan population will be improved. In this way, it will contribute to the achievement of specific objective 1 "Preservation and improvement of the state of water resources" of priority axis 1 "Waters" of OPE 2014-2020.
