Construction of WSS infrastructure for designated territory, operated by WSS Ruse LTD

The project proposal foresees investment in consolidated territory of water operator WSS-Ruse LTD. The measures aim achieving full compliance of agglomeration Ruse with the requirements of Directive 91/271/EEC, as well as with Directive 98/83/EC on achieving water supply continuity as well as increasing the efficiency of the water supply network and modernization the disinfection and decontamination system for Ruse. Additionally, the project also provides for measures to reduce water loss in the water supply system and for more efficient asset management by the Operator. For solving these problems, investments will be made in: Component "Water Supply" • Reconstruction and replacement of existing water mains from PS II Podem to PS III Podem. The total length of the networks envisage for reconstruction is 10,205 km. • Reconstruction and rehabilitation of water network sections and areas with high concentration of water losses in the town of Ruse with length of 63,261 km. • Replacement and modernization of systems of facilities for water purification and disinfection at PS II Podem in Ruse; Component "Wastewater Collection and Discharge" • Completion of sewerage in neighborhoods "Sredna kula" and "Dolapite", domestic and storm sewerage, discharge collectors and main collector, as well as building 13 sewerage pumping stations - a total length of L = 43,74 km and 2 450 sewerage house connections; • Completion and reconstruction of combined sewerage system and facilities - around 5,4 km and 400 sewerage house connections, as well as construction of a reservoir under Hristo Botev Blvd.; To increase the efficiency of the management of the water supply and sewerage systems, the project provides for: - Design and building of integrated geographical information system (GIS); - Introduction of a system for remote monitoring of overflows and water level at key points of the main sewerage collectors.
