Integrated water project for improving of water sector in a separate territory serviced by RWC - Shumen

The present project covers and includes measures related to the implementation of activities that will contribute to the adaptation of Shumen agglomeration with accordance with Council Directive 91/271/EEC of 21 May 1991 concerning urban waste water treatment. As a result of the project "Supporting the Regional Investment Planning of the Water Supply and Sewerage Sector" financed within grants procedure, are prepared detailed Preliminary designs (PD) according to which have been identified major investments in agglomerations with more than 10000 p.e. in the territory of the Shumen region. The compliance with the requirements of Directive 91/271/EEC for the territory served by the RWC - Shoumen should be achieved through the implementation of the above mentioned indices. The main agglomerations identified as priority in the Regional PD to which the investment measures will be implemented are Shumen Agglomeration and Agglomeration Novi Pazar. The main activities envisaged within the project are as follows:- Construction of a Drinking Water Treatment Plant for the Water Supply System of Shumen;- Reconstruction of the water supply pipeline from the Ticha dam to pressure water supply 13 000 - the town of Shumen;- Construction and implementation of major repair of technical infrastructure for water supply and sewerage in Shumen;- Construction, rehabilitation and reconstruction of technical infrastructure for water supply, sewerage and treatment of Novi Pazar;- Construction of SCADA system and implementation and introduction of Geographic Information System (GIS). The implementation of the project will contribute to the achievement of specific objective 1 "Preservation and improvement of the state of the water resources" of priority axis 1 "Waters" of OPE 2014-2020.
