"Design and construction of composting plant for separately collected green and / or biodegradable waste, incl. providing the necessary equipment and equipment technique for separate collection of green and biodegradable waste" for the needs of the Municipality of Karlovo

In connection with the implementation of the objectives set out in art. 31, para 1 of the Waste Management Act, the Municipality of Karlovo envisages the construction of a composting plant with a capacity of 6500 t / year in the land № 36498.37.364, with an area of 20000 m2, Stara Reka, Karlovo , municipality of Karlovo, which will serve the population of the municipality. With the construction of this installation and the purchase of the facilities under the project, green waste from households, gardens and public parks will be collected and treated. The goal is to recycle this waste to obtain a quality finished product "compost" - a humus product that can be the pre-investment study with the leading part of the selected technology was prepared, through the application, which will receive a quality compost. The municipality has chosen to apply for an open composting installation - composting systems in gutted rows with chutes and forced aeration. In pursuance of the separate collection objectives, the project proposal envisages the purchase of 209 "brown" containers with a compatibility of 1100 liters and a specialized vehicle for collecting and transporting the green waste from households, 3 trucks for collecting the green mass of parks, gardens and households in other settlements in the municipality, as well as 2 mobile shredder for shredding the wood fraction, 1 wheel loader and 1 screening machine. No accompanying infrastructure is envisaged. The implementation of the project will reduce the amount of input material of the separated sewerage installation and hence reduce the amount of landfilled landfill, which will lead to an extension of its service life. The project proposal is in line with current national legislation.
