Observe European Union and national waste management targets, assessing the contribution of environmental protection and the transition to circular economy of household reuse measures, the current project involves the creation of a web-based system for the reuse of clothing, furniture, toys and other household items (15-20% of the waste generated in Bulgaria) aimed at third sector organizations (social organizations / enterprises / centers, cooperatives of people with disabilities) and educational organizations (kindergartens, specialized, etc.). The greatest environmental savings are estimated to arise from the reuse of clothing, due to the volume of items sold, followed by furniture products, due to the high environmental burden of producing new items. This is one of the reasons why this project is aimed specifically at these products. The selected good practices that the project will demonstrate are focused on environmental protection and waste management and on delivering social benefits at the same time as a way to help the transition to sustainable use of existing resources. "Do not throw away, but help" will demonstrate a comprehensive coordination process for redirecting unnecessary clothes, furniture, toys and other household goods to third sector organizations, social and educational organizations, including working with vulnerable population groups rather than being dumped in waste streams. The whole process will be done through an online based system, the use of which will significantly reduce the cost of running this kind of initiative. The project will be implemented throughout the country, similar to the selected good practices and thanks to the IT system with web-based application (web platform), the development of which is key to the project activity. The activities of the project are based on successful practices for the prevention of waste generation.
