Execution of underground installations for storage of mixed municipal waste and separate collection of specific household waste streams

The project will meet the identified needs of Pomorie Municipality in terms of preventing the generation of municipal waste, preparing it for re-use and / or recycling: - The need to improve the urban appearance of public places where household waste is collected and temporarily stored until its disposal; - The need to extend the scope of household waste by managing two specific streams (unmanaged at the moment) - textile waste from household and leather goods, leather and footwear. The purpose is secondary use for humanitarian purposes. These identified needs can be addressed by constructing underground storage facilities for the period from their disposal (by the population) to the time of their disposal with the collection machine. Target groups: The main target group that will be covered under the project is the Pomorie municipality population, using the installations, local residential concentrated groups, tourists and external visitors. The project proposal aims at preventing the disposal of municipal waste and minimizing their volume at the places where they are disposed of by the population, as well as spreading infections and unpleasant odors until they are disposed of. The main and specific objectives are described in detail in the next section. Expected results: construction of underground installations - 6 pieces of 3 underground places installation of 1100-1200 liters beaver underground storage tanks (reinforced concrete shaft, with specified dimensions for placement of 3 containers, with direct connection to above ground receiving boxes, which remain with a cover on the surface of the terrain). A detailed description and justification are available in Annex 6. The project activities are: Preparation; Execution of a demonstration project; Campaigns to promote project results; Project organization and management; Information and communication.
