Introduction of good practices for generation of municipal waste prevention through composting

The project implementation will satisfy four groups of identified needs of Krivodol municipality - prevention of biodegradable municipal waste, separate waste collection, performing activities for reuse preparation and recycling of unnecessary items and waste, raising public awareness of compliance with the waste management hierarchy Target groups are the municipal administration staff, students and teachers from all schools and households in the municipality of Krivodol. Main activities and expected results: Activity 2 "Implementation of a demonstration project" Sub-activity 2.1. Composting activities Public composting resulting in: limiting the deposited amount of biodegradable waste Home composting resulting in: introducing measures to waste generation prevention On-site composting in schools resulting in: introducing measures to waste generation prevention Sub-activity 2.3. Separate biodegradable waste collection Placing brown vessels in public places in 15 settlements in the municipality of Krivodol resulting in: separation of biodegradable waste from the total amount of mixed municipal waste, which will allow its composting on the territory of Krivodol municipality; limiting the deposited amount of biodegradable waste Sub-activity 2.3. Equipment for the Demonstration Center for Sustainable Waste Management Carrying out of creative workshops, information days, competitions and other campaigns resulting in: performed activities for waste reuse preparation, raising public awareness for compliance with the three highest levels of the waste management hierarchy Activity 3 "Campaigns" Within the project, campaigns will be organized to promote the project results that will contribute to raising public awareness for compliance with the three highest levels of the waste hierarchy.
