Reclamation of a municipal landfill of Polski Trambesh Municipality

This project proposal is prepared in full compliance with the objectives of OPE2014-2020. The project's investments are aimed at the reclamation of a municipal landfill in the territory of the Municipality of Polski Trambesh in fulfillment of the obligations of the RB under a procedure for violation of EU law in connection with the ruling of the CJ of 16.07.2015 in case C-145/14. The landfill doesn't meet the requirements of Ordinance No.6 on the conditions and requirements for the construction and operation of landfills, etc. facilities, and installations for recovery and disposal of waste and for this reason its operation was terminated by order No.00-187-00/09.07.2013 of the Director of RIEW - V.Tarnovo. The size and boundaries of the terrain have been determined by the CEPA, geodetic survey has been carried out. The total reclaimed area will be 24.006 acres. The main activity related to the technical reclamation of the landfill will be accompanied by the activity of biological land reclamation in the duration of the project - 5 years from the final payment under the project, as well as construction and copyright supervision, and project management and reporting activities. The key activities in the project that will contribute most to the achievement of the main objective include the execution of construction and installation works necessary for the closure and recultivation of the landfill, accompanied by activities in the CS and the AS, preparation of TD, project organization and management and project information and communication activities. The main target group within the project includes all residents of the municipality. The main results of the project will be the technical reclamation of the municipal landfill, the subsequent biological reclamation of the landfill, the contribution to the reduction of the adverse impact by limiting the emissions from the landfill body, the removal and treatment of the polluted ones and using the terrain as a green area.
