"Reclamation and closure of the old municipal landfill in the land of Gulyantsi"

The landfill for the municipality of Gulyantsi is located on the land of the town of Gulyantsi, ECATTE 18099, to PI with identifier 18099.396.460, with a permanent use "municipal landfill (landfill)". The property is publicly owned by the Municipality of Gulyantsi. The area designated for land reclamation is 23 386 sq. or 2.33 ha. The project for reclamation and closure of the old municipal landfill includes for following main activities: 1) Cleaning of municipal waste from areas outside the landfill and vertical planning, including re-depositing of waste (approximately 25 500 m3 MSW will be disposed of); 2) Construction of the body of the landfill; 3) Construction of an upper insulation screen consisting of the following elements: • Gas drainage; • Sealing layer; • Drainage system for atmospheric water; • Reclamation layer; 4) Compaction of the body of the landfill with waste by means of impulse compaction technology; 5) Surface water drainage - For drainage of surface water are provided - a groove for trapping of sloping waters and a drainage system for drainage of infiltrated rainwater; 6) Construction of a gas extraction system - it is planned to build 1 well of perforated HDPE / HDPE / pipe Ø315 in the area of accumulated waste, which passes into a dense tube before crossing the upper sealing screen. The aboveground part of the gas outlet well will be secured with a shaft made of a Ø1200 reinforced concrete pipe closed with a steel lid; 7) Construction of monitoring points for groundwater and points for the body of the landfill.
