This project covers the reclamation of an existing municipal landfill for non-hazardous waste in the municipality of General Toshevo. It is located mainly in the land plot No. 000076 in the territory of the town of General Toshevo, municipality of General Toshevo, Dobrich district of 54 decares, with contaminated adjacent areas reaching an area of 76 decares. The rehabilitation of the municipal landfill aims to minimize the adverse environmental impact of the accumulated old waste and reduce its harmful effects on soil, water and air. Reclamation proceeds in the following order: - technical reclamation; - biological reclamation; Technical reclamation involves the awakening, localization of waste in the newly formed body of the landfill, cleaning and construction of a gas exhaust system. Biological recultivation involves the cultivation of grassland with grass species suitable for the area. The area provided for reclamation is of impaired structure and soil fertility as a result of long-term accumulation of waste.
