"Reclamation of an existing landfill of Tryavna municipality"

The municipality of Tryavna is looking for the right directions to achieve the main goal in the sustainable management of waste, which will prevent, reduce or limit their harmful effects on human health and the environment. The project envisages technical and biological recultivation of the area, which has damaged structure and soil fertility as a result of long-term accumulation of waste. The remediation activities will ensure the protection of the atmospheric air and surface water from pollution, protection against the penetration of surface water into the body of the landfill, the cessation of dusting of light fractions of waste, etc. The remediation of the landfill aims to minimize the adverse effects of the accumulated waste on the environment. The planned remediation activities of the existing landfill will ensure: Minimization of construction costs;Atmospheric protection, air and surface water from pollution; Protection against surface water infiltration into the waste body of the landfill; Discontinue dusting of light waste fractions; Registration in the relief of the surrounding terrain of the waste body; Creating conditions for controlling the processes taking place in the body of the landfill and its impact on the environment. The envisaged activities will be implemented in two stages: Stage I. Real reclamation - which is intended to take place:Site preparation and a detail in the heel of waste in the ravine; outflow regulation facility; construction of an upper bearing dike; construction of a lower bearing ditch and on the side of the road; construction of a gas system; waste pre-disposal and vertical planning; technical reclamation - leveling layer, sealing layer, soil soils, humus; facilities. Stage II. The biological reclamation that will be carried out at a later stage. It is envisaged that the reclamation will take place on an area of ​​16729 sq.m. representing PI 81058.374.315, in land. of the village of Chernovrah on the territory of Tryavna.
