Reclamation of landfill for municipal solid waste Zemen Municipality

This project proposal has been prepared in full compliance with the objectives of OPE 2014-2020 and in particular a procedure: "Reclamation of landfills for closure subject to an infringement procedure in case C-145/14" The project's investments are aimed at recultivation of an existing municipal solid waste landfill on the territory of the village of Blateshnitsa, Zemen Municipality in fulfillment of the obligations of the Republic of Bulgaria under a procedure for violation of EU law in connection with the ruling of the Court of Justice of the European Union. 16.07.2015 in Case C-145/14. The area occupied by waste is about 9.45 acres, after the arrival and pre-disposal of the waste the body of the recultivation will be formed, which will be about 9.25 acres The main activity related to the technical reclamation of the landfill will be accompanied by the activity of biological land reclamation in the duration of the project - 5 years from the final payment under the project. Key activities in the project that will contribute to the achievement of the main objective include the completion of the construction works necessary for the closure and recultivation of the landfill, construction and self-monitoring, preparation of procurement documents, organization and management of the project and project information and communication activity. The main target group within the project includes the population on the territory of the country within the municipality of Zemen. The main results of the project will be the technical reclamation of the landfill of the municipality of Zemen, the subsequent biological reclamation of the landfill, the contribution to the reduction of the adverse impact, by limiting the emissions from the landfill body and the use of the land as green area.
