Closure and reclamation of a solid waste landfill - Devnia

In connection with a procedure for infringement of EU law and the judgment of the Court of Justice of the European Union of 16.07.2015 in case C-145/14, the municipality of Devnya undertakes technical rehabilitation of a landfill, as well as commits itself to biological recultivation of the same for a period of up to 5 years after the last payment of this procedure. The landfill foreseen for reclamation is located in the Gerenite area, on the territory of the Municipality of Devnia. The technical recultivation will be carried out on the municipal property Plot of land 19 and Plot of land 7, 8, 33, 34 and 35 under the Regulation and construction plan approved by Order No. 1002-322 / 31.07.2019, by the Mayor of the Municipality of Devnya, identical to the RI with identifiers 20482.235.38 and 20482.235.39 on the cadastral map of the city of Devnia, approved by RD-18-85 / 17.09.2008. and CEO of the GCCA. The orthogonal area of ​​the landfill is 20016 sq. m, the decision to carry out technical reclamation is up to 20238 sq. m. m. The main activities and stages for the implementation of the project are: - Preparation for implementation - Technical reclamation - Organization and management, information and communication measures and preparation of procurement documents The expected result of reclamation is the improvement of environmental conditions related to the public interest. Reclamation processes aim not only at restoring the functions of disturbed and polluted soils, but also at creating balanced ecological systems that represent socio-economic and aesthetic values ​​for man. After the technical recultivation, biological recultivation of the landfill will be mandatory within the term of the project duration - 5 years from the final payment under the project, the costs of biological reclamation are not pledged under the project and will be financed by the Municipality of Devnia.
