Reclamation of municipal landfill for non-hazardous solid municipal waste located in the territory of Barakovo village Kocherinovo Municipality

ThisprojectcontainsinvestmentmeasuresontechnicalreclamationoflandfillforsolidmunicipalwasteontheterritoryofKocherinovoMunicipality, located in "Aidere" locality on the territory of the city about 2 km west of the village of Barkovo, which has been in exploitation more than 80 year sago. Area occupied by landfill is 60 400 sq.m.The total volume of accumulated waste is 463 500 m3. Thepropertiesthatdeterminetheareaofthelandfillfortechnicalreclamationare: 02748.1.688 (for reclamation of this property is formed property №02748.1.1030) , 02748.1.813, 02748.1.814, 02748.1.12 and 02748.1.11– municipal property. Atthemoment, land plot 02748.1.813 has a landfill purpose, and the remaining municipal properties are in procedures for change of use. The Landfill do not meet Ordinance №6 on the conditions and requirements for construction and exploitation of landfills and other facilities and installations for recovery and disposal o fwaste. Thus, its exploitation was ceased-Order 421/28.11.2017 of the Director of Regional Inspection on Environment and Water–Blagoevgrad. ThemainactivityfortheimplementationofthisprojectincludesthetechnicalreclamationoftheLandfillfornon-hazardoussolidwasteofKocherinovoMunicipality, whichwillreducetheenvironmentalpollutionandpreventtherisktothehealthofthepopulation. Within the project the follow in activities will be implemented: engineering (projection, construction, and copyright supervision), royalty supervision, organization and management, and information and publicity measures. Resulting from the main project activity, the technical reclamation of the Landfill for non-hazardous household waste of Kocherinovo Municipality will be completed, since it doesn’t meet the legislation, subject to procedure of violation of the EU legislation in relation to delivered Judgement of the EU Court of 16.07.2015, case C-145/14. The total reclaimed area will be 56 949,45 sq.m.
