Recultivation of a municipal landfill located in the village of Kamenar, Municipality Pomorie.

This project proposal is under the procedure "Recultivation of the landfills for closure subject of the infringement procedure on case C-145/14" under PA 2 of OP "Environment 2014-2020". Within the project, a municipal landfill on the territory of the village of Kamenar, Pomorie will be reclaimed through the implementation of engineering activities. The municipal landfill subject to reclamation does not meet the requirements of Ordinance 6 on the conditions and requirements for the construction and operation of landfills, etc. facilities for and installations for the recovery and disposal of waste. Its operation was terminated by order No. RD-25/27.02.2015. of the Director of RIEW - Burgas. For reclamation the following activities will be performed: vegetation cleaning, removal of waste outside the landfill, construction of a support dike, drainage channel, upper insulation screen and gas wells. As the landfill is located near the Aitoska Mountain PA, additional measures will be taken to protect the environment. Activities for assessment of the conformity of the IP and construction supervision, information amp; publicity and project management will be carried out. For the successful implementation of the project, the Beneficiary will carry out procedures in accordance with the PPA requirements for the selection of contractors, will participate with its representatives in the project team and will control the strict implementation of the planned activities. As a result of the project implementation, 5,8 Ha will be reclaimed. It will limit unregulated waste disposal and improve environmental parameters. Conditions will be created for a good subsequent biological reclamation of the terrain and restoration of the landscape. The implementation of the project will contribute to the fulfillment of the obligations of the RBulgaria under a procedure for infringement of EU law in connection with judgment of the Court of Justice of 16.07.2015 in case C-145/14.
