Reclamation of Municipal Landfill for Non-hazardous Waste Located on the Terittoriy of Dimovo Town, Municipality of Dimovo

This project proposal is under the procedure RECLAMATION OF THE LANDFILL OF CLOSURE, SUBJECT TO THE PROCEDURE FOR VIOLATION OF EU LAW IN CASE C-145/14 under PA2 of OPE 2014-2020. Technical reclamation of a municipal landfill in Dimovo will be carried out through construction activities.The municipal landfill subject to reclamation does not meet the requirements of Ord. No.6 on the conditions and requirements for the construction and operation of landfills, other facilities for waste recovery and disposal.Its operation was terminated by Order No.206/14.08.2015. of the Director of RIEW-Montana.The landfill will be rehabilitated in 3 stages - St. 1 - Cleansing of vegetation and clearing of waste areas outside the landfill and construction of a temporary access road to the landfill, St. 2 - Vertical planning, alignment and re-cutting and St. 3 - construction of upper insulation screen and recultivation of the waste-free terrains. Within the project framework activities for conformity assessment of the investment project, construction supervision, information and publicity and project management will be carried out.For the successful project implementation, the Beneficiary will carry out procedures in accordance with the PPA requirements for selection of contractors for the project activities, will participate with its representatives in the project team and will control the strict implementation of the planned activities.As a result of the project implementation, a terrain of 8,919 dca will be reclaimed, with a body for technical reclamation 7613 dca. Unregulated waste disposal will be reduced and environmental parameters will be improved.Conditions will be created for a good subsequent biological reclamation and restoration of the landscape.The implementation of the project will contribute to the fulfillment of Bulgaria's obligations under a procedure for infringement of EU law in connection with the judgment of the Court of Justice of 16.07.2015 in case C-145/14.
