Measures for recovery and maintenance of habitat 6430 Hydrophilous tall herb fringe communities of plains and of the montane to alpine levels and birds of prey target species in the territory of Nature park "Rilski manastir".

The aim of the project is to improve the conservation status of natural habitat 6430 "Hydrophilous tall herb fringe communities of plains and of the montane to alpine levels", and to improve the status of the populations of Black Vulture (Aegypius monachus), Golden Eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) and Eastern Imperial Eagle (Aquila heliaca) in the territory of Nature Park Rilski manastir. The Nature park falls within the territory of Natura 2000 site BG0000496 Rilski manastir. The main activities that will be implemented to achieve the objective of the project are: Construction of feeding station for birds of prey species Black Vulture (Aegypius monachus), Golden Eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) and Eastern Imperial Eagle (Aquila heliaca) that are subject of protection of Natura 2000 site BG0000496 Rilski manastir; Activities to safeguarding the electric poles that are dangerous to birds; and Improvement of the conservation status of natural habitat 6430 "Hydrophilous tall herb fringe communities of plains and of the montane to alpine levels", subject of protection of the Natura 2000 site BG0000496 Rilski manastir. As a result of the project implementation the number of species in the populations of three protected birds species in the territory of Nature park Rilski manastir will increase and as well as the conservation status of habitat 6430 "Hydrophilous tall herb fringe communities of plains and of the montane to alpine levels" and the status of species related to the habitat will be improved. The project also includes activities for the provision of information and communication and organisation and management of the project. Total value of the project budget is 190 833.33 lv.
