The project proposal envisages the implementation of activities under measure 109 of the NAPR related to the support of waterfowl and other bird species in the Natura 2000 site and in particular the implementation of six measures of the BG0002015 Konush Dam Conservation Area Management Plan approved by Order No. RD-145 / 24.02.2017 of the Minister of Environment and Water (State Gazette No. 25 / 24.03.2017). The measures cover the implementation of specific priority conservation activities to improve the habitats and food base, maintain the vegetation in the breeding and other sites, restrict the entry of people and cars in the area, inform the visitors about the prohibitions in the protected area with signposts on all entrances and exits to Areas A1, A2 and B with information on access restrictions, will increase the potential of breeding habitats of waterfowl, create a safe place for and post-breeding concentrations of young birds will restore breeding small cormorants and mane herons through an artificial breeding program, will restore critically endangered in Europe Lopatarka / Platalea leucorodia and Glossy ibis / Plegadis falcinellus through the use of breeding facilities for artificial birds.
