Implementation of measures to improve the conservation status of Habitat 5130 "Communications of Juniperus communis on limestone" within the protection areas (PA) BG0001007, BG0000165, BG0000295, BG0001011, BG0001022 and BG0001389 for " Area and function" parameter.

The project proposal includes implementation of activities for improvement of the conservation status of habitats 5130 "Communities of Juniperus communis on limestone" within the scope of protected areas: BG0001007, BG0000165, BG0000295, BG0001011, BG0001022 and BG0001389. The activities are defined in accordance with the measures presented in Annex 1 and in accordance with the conditions of the procedure and relate to Elimination of competitive food and timber, restriction and targeting on strictly specified routes when driving vehicles and ATVs and promoting sporadic grazing. The activities will be implemented for the whole area of the Habitat (86.71 ha). The measures provided in this proposal will help maintaining an optimal balance between the different types of natural habitats witnin NATURA 2000 network. that are endangered in the NATURA 2000 network. When cases of successive struggle for habitat 5130 "Communities of Juniperus communis on limestone" and adjacent to it are established , it is planned developing expert assessments of the appropriate ratio and measures by which this can be achieved. The active restoration measures under the parameter "structure and functions" will help to create favorable conditions for restoration and maintenance of natural habitats in the long run.
