The project objective is implementation of anti-erosion actions and landslide reinforcement on a terrain, located within the borders of 'House for adults with mental retardation - village of 'Kachulka', Sliven Municipality. The activities include an implementation of a construction, made by gabions to stabilizes the heel base of the slope. A repairing and rebuilding of the slope, including erosion control system on the surface are also included as well as providing opportunities for future permanent grassing. The strenghtening has to repair and permanently rebuild the surrounding terrain, found to be deformable because of lack of stability, caused by over-humidification. The current condition of the terrain was triggered by surface water and intensive rainfall draining and accumulation, provoking a lack of stability of the rocks. The terrain deformations provoke landslide processes and constitute a risk for the road infrastructure nearby. The landslide has been registered in 2010, when soil sliding has been found on the Nord-West slope, above the only road to the village, which links the administrative building with the housing where people, using the social services live. The plot, to be reinforced, encompasses area of approximately 850 sq.m. with perimeter of 145 m. The plot has rectangular shape, with average base of 15 m., its average height is 17 m. The landslide processes have been found on the whole area and form the elements, typical for an active landslide.
