Actualization of the Program for reduction of the pollution levels in the atmospheric air and to reach established standards for the harmful substances in Galabovo Municipality.

The project proposal includes actualization of the Municipality program in order to reduce pollution levels and to reach established standards for air quality in the Municipality of Galabovo, according to Art. 27 of the Clean Air Act (CAA). Galabovo Municipality is included in the list of regions(including agglomerations) for assessment and management of air quality - part of the Southeast Region, approved by Order № 969 / 21.12.2013 of the Minister of Environment and Water. Galabovo Municipality is one of the 28 municipalities in Bulgaria with disturbed air quality on indicator PM10, in which territory is located monitoring station, the data of which are annually reported to the European Commission, as required by Directive 2008/50 / EC and are subject to criminal proceedings in violation № 2010/2109 for failure of the standard for the content of PM10 with limits air, which is already in trial. Currently, the Municipality has adopted "Program for reduction of the pollution levels in the atmospheric air and to reach established standards for the harmful substances in Galabovo Municipality 2014-2018" and is acting according it. The program and all planned measures complete in 2018. With the aim to reduce the pollution levels and to reach the established standards for air quality, Galabovo Municipality prepares this project proposal for actualization of the Municipality program and planning measures for improvement of the air quality, which to lead to achievement the standards set for air quality. According to Art.27 of the CAA, the program and the action plan should be an inseparable part of the municipal program for Environmental protection.
