Validation of environmentally friendly public electric transport in Pleven

The implementation of the project proposal will contribute to the improvement of the ambient air quality in Pleven Municipality by reducing the excessive levels of fine particulates and nitrogen oxides to achieve established ambient air standards by taking measures to replace old urban public transport vehicles with modern, environmentally friendly vehicles. The project proposal includes the implementation of Component 1 activities: Implementation of activities to improve the quality of ambient air by purchasing and supplying electric vehicles for road transport - electric buses and trolleybuses of the procedure. The project will support the purchase and delivery of new modern environmental electric vehicles (rolling stock) on public transport on the territory of Pleven municipality, which will reduce air emissions, reduce noise and vibration, and save energy. The project involves the delivery of 14 new Solo electric buses and 14 slow charging stations for them.The following main activities are included in the project in order to ensure the normal operation of vehicles and the sustainability of the project: - design, supervision, execution of construction works for the construction of the charging station locations in the two operator's ownership depots and provision of the power supply to the charging stations; - construction supervision and conformity assessment; - integration of newly acquired electric buses into existing ITS; - project management, provision of information and communication and development of procurement documents. The project will be implemented on the territory of Pleven municipality, and the purchased electric buses will be operated by TROLLEY TRANSPORT LTD and will serve lines according to the approved transport scheme of the city.
