According to the requirements of Council Regulation (EC) No 1303/2013 of 17 December 2013 regarding the general provisions on the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund, the Cohesion Fund and the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund and repealing Regulation 1083/2006, the storage of documents under the OPE 2014-2020 should be in a way that provides an adequate audit trail at all levels of OPE management and implementation as well as in the process of evaluating the program and during the reporting stage. The storage of documentation in compliance with all contemporary legal requirements is also one of the methods for preventing irregularities under OPE, it supports the functioning of the management and control systems. The current budget line provides financing for the construction and equipment of an archive storage facility for the needs of the MA of OPE, which will meet the requirements for the storage of documents in a storage facility. The budget line is in implementation of Action 5 "Providing the necessary facilities and technical equipment and information systems for the management and implementation of OPE" under Strategic Objective 1 "Strengthening the administrative capacity of the responsible structures in order to efficiently implement the activities related to programming, management, monitoring, evaluation and control of OPE " from the Strategic plan for Technical Assistance of the OPE 2014-2020.
