Ensuring of National System for Control of Ambient Air Quality through the procurement of specialized technical equipment

The implementation of of OPE 2014-2020 will support the effective usage of limited natural resources, the environment protection from anthropogenic impacts and the achievement of sustainable development. With regards to this, one of the most considerable environmental themes is air pollution and particularly its dustiness. Operational programme “Environment 2014- 2020” grants financial resources to municipalities with poor air quality under PA 5 “Improvement of the air quality”. The aim of the grant is to contribute to the improvement of the ambient air quality by reducing the excess levels of fine particulate matter (PM10) and indirectly to NOx on the territory of municipalities with poor air quality on these indicators. Beside the implemention of real measures, addressing the main air pollutants, a substantial part in lines with the decrease of the anthropogenic impact is the provision of sound, independent and targeted information on the ambient air quality to the authorities which are responsible for policy- making as well as the public in order to undertake constructive measures. Taking into account the above circumstances as well as with the aim to provide timely and realistic information on the ambient air quality with regard to the developments of strategic documents and implementation of programming activities for period 2021- 2027 is ascertained the necessity of provision of specialized technical equipment for the National system for monitoring of ambient air which is managing by the Executive Environment Agency under the minister of environment and water. The budget line will contribute to the achievement of defined specific objectives of Priority Axis 6 "Technical Assistance", in particular activity 5 of specific objective 1 "Provision of the necessary material base and technical equipment and information systems for the management and implementation of OPE, if necessary".
