Construction of Social Housing for Disadvantaged People in Varna

The project proposal is aimed at building social housing in Varna, which will create a prerequisite for accessible, modern and adequate housing conditions for disadvantaged and vulnerable people. When constructing this type of housing, the spatial integration of the representatives of the marginalized communities as a whole will be ensured so as not to contribute to their segregation, isolation and exclusion. The results that will be achieved with the project activities are: 10 social housing units with a capacity of 34 persons - a single-family home; 2 dwellings for a two-member family, one with disabilities; 3 dwellings for a three-member family; 2 dwellings for a four-member family; 2 dwellings for a five- or six-member family. Each housing unit consists of a living room, the necessary number of bedrooms and the corresponding sanitary facilities in compliance with the current legislation and will be fully furnished and equipped. The property will be developed, it will be provided with independent approaches and entrances to the housesand to the sites, will be provided the necessary parking, will provide a playground for recreation and/or sports activities. An accessible architectural environment for service users will be provided. The newly built buildings will have a minimum C-class of energy consumption. The quality of life of the vulnerable groups of the population of Varna will be improved, conditions for their full realization, poverty reduction and promotion of social inclusion will be created. The groups directly influenced by the project results are homeless and / or those living in very poor living conditions; large families; parents with children with poor health and disabilities; people at risk of poverty and social exclusion.
