"Educational infrastructure" - construction and renovation of schools, kindergardens and nurseries in city of Plovdiv

(A) The need for the project The project will make a significant contribution towards improvement of conditions for the provision of educational services in Plovdiv. The capacity of the educational infrastructure in the city will be optimized, including through construction of a new kindergarten. The overall renovation of the sites will result in a quality environment for education and more sports opportunities for children. The implementation of energy efficiency measures will respond to the need for reduced expenses of energy and resources - in line with the priorities of environmental protection and effective financial management of public institutions. The location of most objects in the territory with ethnic diversity will facilitate access to education for Roma children and will consequently support their social and economic integration. (B) Target groups The project target groups include children under three years of age; preschool children; school-age children; children of Roma origin; children and students with physical disabilities; staff. (C) Expected Results (1) renovated and reconstructed building with increased energy efficiency, reconstructed and landscaped yard of school "Luben Karavelov" - Building 1; (2) renovated and reconstructed building with increased energy efficiency, reconstructed and landscaped yard of kindergarten "Snejanka"; (3) renovated and reconstructed building with increased energy efficiency, reconstructed and landscaped yard of nursery "Detski smqh"; (4) renovated and reconstructed building with increased energy efficiency, reconstructed and landscaped yard of school "Luben Karavelov" - Building 2; (5) renovated and reconstructed building with increased energy efficiency, reconstructed and landscaped yard of kindergarten "Perunika"; (6) a new kindergarten at Str. "Bogomil".
