Construction of social housing for accommodation of persons from minority groups of the population and socially disadvantaged persons, who cannot benefit from the housing terms of Ruse Municipality

The project proposal is related to the construction of social housing in order to provide modern housing for accommodation of vulnerable, minority and socially disadvantaged population groups and other disadvantaged groups. In the construction of this type of housing spatial integration should be provided for representatives of the marginalized communities as a whole and it shouldn’t contribute to their segregation, isolation and exclusion. The building in which social housing units will be situated consists of two adjacent but functionally separate corps. Each of them will have a separate entrance, joint, storage and living premises. The spatial volume of the whole building envisages the construction of 4 ground levels and 1 underground level. The roof is flat, warm with the relevant insulation coatings. There will be a total of 28 flats - 7 on each floor, out of which 20 two-room flats, 6 three-room flats and 2 one-room flats. Some of them can be used by people with motor problems and for this purpose a lift will be provided to each stairwell. In the basement are situated cellars to the flats and technical premises. Construction-wise, the building will be monolithic, with reinforced concrete beamless construction. The enclosure and partition walls will be made of brick masonry and aerated concrete blocks respectively. Insulation with finish mineral plaster coating is applied externally to the facade of the building. In the building there is designed cold and hot water installation, heating and electrical installation, security alarm system, videosurveillance and fire alarm installation. For each individual subscriber is provided watermeter, heatmeter and electrometer. A natural gas boiler is used to produce the amount of heat energy required for heating and DHW. Additionally a solar collector system will be situated on the roof of the building for year-round heating of DHW. A car parking and facilities for outdoor activities in the inner courtyard are envisaged.
