“Modernization and development of sustainable urban transport in the city Stara Zagora - Phase II”

The Municipality of Stara Zagora is a beneficiary under procedure BG16RFOP001-1.001-039 “Implementation of Integrated plans for urban regeneration and development 2014-2020”, Priority 1 “Sustainable Integrated Urban Development”, investment priority “Promoting low-carbon development strategies in all types of areas, particularly in urban areas, including the promotion of sustainable multimodal urban mobility and measures for adaptation and mitigation associated with climate change”. In this regard, The Municipality of Stara Zagora will implement the project “Modernization and development of sustainable urban transport in the town of Stara Zagora - phase II” relating to investment priority 2: “Integrated urban transport”. This project falls within the investment priority “Promoting low-carbon development strategies in all types of areas, particularly in urban areas, including the promotion of sustainable multimodal urban mobility and measures for adaptation and mitigation associated with climate change”. The project “Modernization and development of sustainable urban transport in the town of Stara Zagora - phase II” is a natural extension of Phase I of the project for integrated urban transport, implemented under the OPRD 2007 - 2013. Phase II of the Project includes the following activities: Activity 1 - Rehabilitation of road overpass; Activity 2 - Introduction of the Automated charging system; Activity 3 - Construction of the Management urban transport system; Activity 4 - Rehabilitation of the repair hall of the trolley depot; Activity 5 - Author supervision of the Activity 1; Activity 6 - Construction supervision according Spatial Planning Act of Bulgaria (SPA); Activity 7 - Verification and putting into service (bringing into use) of the road overpass; Activity 8 - Publicity and communication of the project; Activity 9 - Audit of the project; Activity 10 - Project management.
