Ensuring sustainable urban environment of Pleven

In pursuance of the policy for sustainable urban development, this project proposal is in compliance with the approved Investment Programme of the Municipality of Pleven and includes eligible measures and activities under the Investment Priority “Urban Environment” on sites located in the three zones of influence defined in the Integrated Plan for Urban Reconstruction and Development (IPURD). One has included rehabilitation and reconstruction activities and a physical renewal of the urban public spaces for recreation - Public Garden and Water Cascade (at the “Vazrajdane” Square), "Stefan Stambolov" Square; streets; pedestrian bridges as well as construction and reconstruction activities of playgrounds. The envisaged measures achieve an integrated intervention and a synergistic effect on the territory and the population of the town of Pleven through their spatial location and through the measures and activities envisaged under the other projects, part of the Investment Programme of the Municipality concerning interventions in the educational, social and cultural infrastructure and the development of integrated urban transport.
