Development of integrated urban transport - Pleven

To achieve the objectives of the Operational Programme “Regions in Growth” 2014-2020, as well as those for ensuring sustainable and smart growth, integrity and synergy, as a consequence of a detailed feasibility study, with a decision of the Municipal Council of Pleven, was approved a project providing the replacement of a rolling stock - trolleys and service machines; deployment of intelligent transport systems - Electronic fare collection system in the urban public transport (EFCSUPT); introduction of a Video Monitoring System at key intersections in the town of Pleven for control and regulation of the traffic. Within the prescribed range, the present project will enhance the quality of transport services and the popularity of the urban public transport. The project aims to develop and upgrade successfully realized in the last programming period projects: “Integrated urban transport in Pleven” and “Organization of the traffic and improvement of the physical environment for sustainable and integrated development of the town of Pleven” Operational Programme “Regional Development” 2007-2013; “Implementation of measures to improve the quality of life in the towns of Burgas, Varna, Stara Zagora and Pleven” Operational Programme “Environment” 2007-2013.
