This project proposal aims to improve the quality of life in Blagoevgrad, making it a more pleasant place to live, through interventions at the following sites: 1) Improvement of "Maritza" Street in the section of "St. Dimitar Solunski" Boulevard and "Ivan Mihailov" Street. The main objective is to create lasting improvement of the transport performance and load-bearing capacity of the pavement, providing conditions for traffic safety, ride comfort and good drainage on the street, providing aesthetic and harmonious environment in correlation with communication, administration, commercial and residential setting; 2) Renovation and improvement of "Georgi Izmirliev-Makedoncheto" Square in particular: reconstruction of the square, under square space and the fountains, artistic lighting in the downtown area between the buildings of the Municipal administration - Blagoevgrad, Drama Theatre "Nikola Vaptsarov", Regional Health Inspection, the building of the American University in Bulgaria and "Alen mak" hotel. The project envisages: bringing the issue territory in accordance with the requirements for accessible environment of the population, including people with disabilities; preserve and complement the green areas, including trees and shrubs, installing energy-saving lighting; 3) Construction of bicycle lane connecting "St. Dimitar Solunski" Blvd., "Dame Gruev" Str., "Vasil Levski" Blvd., "Ss. Cyril and Methodius" Blvd. – to "Alen mak" hotel and from "Maritsa" Str. to "Ivan Mihailov" Str.; 4) Improvement of Subregion IV in Blagoevgrad, including rehabilitation and reconstruction of streets, energy efficient street lighting and landscaping near "Vetren" Str. to the South-West University "Neofit Rilski". The project is designed for 6 streets without pavement and without sidewalks, namely: "Vetren" Str., "Roden krai" Str., "Cherno more" Str., "Saedinenie" Str. , "Nezavisimost" Str. and "Ruen" Str.
