Renovation and modernization of the educational infrastructure in Blagoevgrad

The project proposal is prepared to contribute to the implementation of the Integrated Urban Recovery and Development Plan of Blagoevgrad and it is part of the Investment Program of Municipality of Blagoevgrad. Within its framework is envisaged the creation and provision of modern, functional, healthy, energy efficient and accessible environment of the educational infrastructure in Blagoevgrad, which will be accomplished through renovation and modernization of four sites as well as the construction of two new buildings and a supporting wall to one of them. The project includes three schools - the St. Cyril and St. Methodius National Humanities High School, Third Primary School "Dimitar Talev" and Fifth Secondary School "Georgi Izmirliev", as well as one kindergarten - kindergarten № 8 "Vechernitsa". A gym and a supporting wall will be built to the NHHS, as well as a new building for day care of children at the kindergarten. In addition, three playgrounds will be moved and a new one will be built in the kindergarten № 8 "Vechernitsa". In the main building of the kindergarten new appliances will be delivered and installed in the kitchen and in the laundry room as well as the furniture in the study hall and dormitory. The sites for intervention are one of the most important educational institutions in the Municipality of Blagoevgrad and the renovation of their material and technical base will lead to improvement of the educational process, will facilitate the introduction of new training methods that will increase and keep the interest of children and students, which will have a beneficial effect on their motivation to learn and acquire skills. Through the implementation of the project the students and the children will be provided with an aesthetic, attractive and accessible learning environment by installing access devices for children and students with disabilities, which will improve the quality of the work environment in the educational establishments.
